The trains manufactured by Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) from Germany are called LHB. Indian Railways decided to develop coaches that are very light in weight and capable of traveling at high speeds. For this, LHP boxes from Germany attracted a lot of attention in looking at different countries.
It decided to manufacture boxes in India on the same model. For this, the Indian Railways first entered into an agreement with a German company. Initially railway coaches were imported to India from Germany. After that production sites were set up in Kapurthala, Punjab, Chennai ICF and Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh. From here, LHP coaches are gradually being installed in Indian Railways.
These types of coaches are spacious enough to carry more passengers. High quality couplers are installed so that the boxes do not collide with each other during sudden braking. These boxes are made of stainless steel metal. The interior is coated with an aluminum coating. Weight is significantly less than conventional boxes. Can travel at high speed. Its suspension system gives passengers a comfortable ride. It greatly reduces the noise pollution emitted during train journeys.
